Agriculture is central to the Eastern Cape’s economic and social development. Despite its potential, the sector is constrained by environmental pressures, water scarcity, climate change, and limited market access—factors that threaten long-term sustainability.
The inaugural Indaba is designed to address these challenges and unlock opportunities, particularly for rural communities where unemployment is highest. The event seeks to build an inclusive, resilient agricultural ecosystem that supports farmers from subsistence to commercial levels.
